Of the 60 or so movies nominated for awards this year I had seen exactly two: Blue Jasmine<\/i>\u00a0and\u00a0The Great Gatsby.\u00a0<\/em> Whoops.<\/p>\n Though completely unfamiliar with the films involved, I had no trouble determining which of them would take home awards: movies about slavery, movies about gay men.
