This would be a contest of the independent &#8220;Atlantic League of Professional Baseball.&#8221; Yeah, it&#8217;s that whole phrase, though perhaps it is\u00a0<em>baseball<\/em> I should put in quotes. The Atlantic League(\u2026) is that league with the 62 and a half-foot pitching distance, 18-inch bases, pitch clocks, and, yeah, you can steal first base. They&#8217;re in a partnership with Major League Baseball to game-test these changes; they may be coming to an MLB park near you in the next few years.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m entering the arena with an open mind.
