{"id":3785,"date":"2022-09-16T07:21:32","date_gmt":"2022-09-16T03:21:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mikeoconnelljr.com\/?p=3785"},"modified":"2022-09-16T14:53:04","modified_gmt":"2022-09-16T10:53:04","slug":"queen-makes-mam-today","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mikeoconnelljr.com\/?p=3785","title":{"rendered":"Queen makes MAM today"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Beautiful thing about having a podcast\u00a0<em>and<\/em> a blog is that if you forget to mention something on one you can mention it on the other.<\/p>\n<p>Today&#8217;s episode of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.buzzsprout.com\/1746819\/11297353\"><em>Math and Musings<\/em><\/a> celebrates the life and times of Queen Elizabeth II. Basically it&#8217;s a retelling of <a href=\"https:\/\/mikeoconnelljr.com\/?p=3776\">last Friday&#8217;s post<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>But there&#8217;s one joke I forgot in both places, so let me amend that now.<\/p>\n<p>There are scant few similarities between Queen Elizabeth and Hugh Hefner, founder and longtime editor of\u00a0<em>Playboy<\/em> magazine. Sure, they were both born in 1926 and held their respective jobs wayyy longer than anyone thought they would, but let&#8217;s face it, they&#8217;re pretty different people.<\/p>\n<p>Or maybe not.<\/p>\n<p>As I mentioned last Friday, both of them lived\u00a0<em>really<\/em> well.<\/p>\n<p>Also, one might say each of them reached their advanced age because of a really great incentive to keep on living.<\/p>\n<p>Chuckle.<\/p>\n<p>And you know that old line, when a person dies and someone says, &#8220;He&#8217;s in a better place now&#8221;?<\/p>\n<p>No one&#8217;s saying that about either of them.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Beautiful thing about having a podcast\u00a0and a blog is that if you forget to mention something on one you can mention it on the other.
