Citizens of the world have a new obsession, though I\u2019m told this has been developing for some time.
\nI\u2019ve always heard that soccer (a.k.a. football) is the world\u2019s most popular sport, but in the past few days we\u2019ve taken it to a new level. I\u2019m not sure what it\u2019s like out in real America, but \u2018round these parts (that would be the Virginia suburbs of Washington, D.C.) the World Cup has replaced Covid as our most crippling infectious disease.
\nAt work I\u2019m even involved in a World Cup \u201cchallenge,\u201d filling out a bracket a la March Madness.
