It’s not often I get to watch my alma\u00a0mater play on TV (is it still called “TV”?), but last night I had the\u00a0opportunity to do just that.<\/p>\n
It was fun for about five minutes.<\/p>\n
I probably should have expected a thrashing, but I often go into these things like a wide-eyed college kid.<\/p>\n

Honestly it wasn’t even that close.<\/p>\n
Luckily for me I’ve got some\u00a0good<\/em> TV these days courtesy of the ageless Mel Brooks. To some a hero and to others a mere legend (so he says in the show’s opening), Mel’s still doing his thing at 96. And more than 40 years after he made us laugh with\u00a0History of the World, Part I<\/em>, there is now–you guessed it–History of the\u00a0World, Part\u00a0II<\/em>. Streaming on Hulu, it’s basically a 30-minute episode of\u00a0SNL<\/em>, which I suppose has always been a 90-minute episode of Mel Brooks.
