Full reflections forthcoming; for now you can read about one slice of the trip <a href=\"https:\/\/mikeoconnelljr.com\/?p=5004\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>It takes more than 24 hours to travel from the east coast of the United States to the east coast of Japan, even if you do it in one long-ass flight as I did last week. Getting\u00a0<em>home<\/em> actually takes no time at all, and in fact getting from Japan to California takes\u00a0<em>negative<\/em> time. I&#8217;m leaving Japan on Wednesday afternoon and arriving in San Francisco on Wednesday morning. I&#8217;d get home even earlier if they let me take the\u00a0<em>big<\/em> time machine through customs.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve never actually spent time in San Francisco before and I guess today I won&#8217;t either.
