{"id":5481,"date":"2026-08-12T16:27:23","date_gmt":"2026-08-12T12:27:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mikeoconnelljr.com\/?p=5481"},"modified":"2026-08-12T16:27:23","modified_gmt":"2026-08-12T12:27:23","slug":"ted-bringing-it-in-season-four","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mikeoconnelljr.com\/?p=5481","title":{"rendered":"Ted bringing it in Season Four"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Since it &#8220;ended&#8221; in May of 2023 I&#8217;ve worried that a Season Four of <em>Ted Lasso<\/em> would somehow mar the original trio of seasons and make me question the entire affair.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Oh, Mike, ye of little faith.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">My fears were allayed with a single episode last Wednesday, Ted in full Ted mode though this time in America, Kansas City to be exact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I&#8217;ll render judgment on the remainder of Season Four as we proceed, but for now I must note the O&#8217;Connell connection to Wednesday&#8217;s offering. Among the small number of states I&#8217;ve never been to are Kansas and Missouri. That Kansas City is sort of in both of those states actually came up several times in the episode to comedic effect. I&#8217;ve wanted to go to Kansas City for years to take advantage of this two-for-one deal, and also visit two of what no doubt are the most O&#8217;Connell-friendly museums on the planet: the American Jazz Museum and the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And one Leslie Higgins, in Wednesday&#8217;s episode, travels to both! (Sort of seeing only one but that was beside the point.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nothing like starting the day being jealous of a fictional character.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And now I&#8217;ve got one more reason to visit Kansas City. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Since it &#8220;ended&#8221; in May of 2023 I&#8217;ve worried that a Season Four of Ted Lasso would somehow mar the original trio of seasons and make me question the entire affair.
