With everything else going on in the world, it’s actually the little things that get me really excited. (Isn’t it true for all of us?)

For largely inexplicable reasons my all-time favorite song is “Please Mr. Postman,” and thankfully I codified that on this blog nearly seven years ago. It’s been my favorite song for over 20 years, and by this point in my life I don’t really think I’m going to change. Ever.

Yesterday afternoon through the magic of the Internet I stumbled upon an old recording of The Marvelettes singing said song that sounded to me slightly different than the one I’d been hearing for 40 years. Sure enough, it was some kind of outtake recording, kinda making my day in what already was a pretty fun weekend.
