Way to jinx it, O’Connell.
I hope you were not watching our local sports teams Wednesday night, two of whom produced just about the worst quarter hour of D.C. sports history with bang-bang losses in heart-breaking fashion. Not even a dramatic Nationals win from earlier in the day could save that non-hat trick.
I still have hope the Wizards can turn it around for Game Six tonight, and then emerge victorious on Monday. In between we have the event I’ve been looking forward to all season: the final episode of Mad Men, the show I’ve most enjoyed over the past half decade. The last few episodes have been uneven at best, but I have high hopes for the finale. More reasons to keep on living.
